If you are planning to travel to Yorkshire, UK, there are places that you surely won’t miss. These are places where old and ancient history is trying to tell us about what happened back then through the landscape, buildings and also food and cultures. So, here we go.

The first is St. Hilda Abbey in Whitby. This place was founded in 657 and it was the place of the synod. These guys were using Roman calendar instead of the Celtic. If you want to get a very nice view of the town and also the beach, you can try to climb the 199 steps that go through the Old Town.

Next are the Museums in Whitby. If you have read Bram’s Stocker Dracula, you will learn that the set of the eerie town in the novel are inspired by the town in this place. it happened when Stocker visited the place and learnt about the history and also the culture of Whitby. And James Cook also spent his childhood not far from the place. That is why you will find Museums dedicated for Dracula and also Cook
